Coca-Cola Themed Custom Kitchen Remodel in Alpine, Utah

She Loves Coke. We Built Her a Kitchen Worth Celebrating.

Some projects arrive with the concept fully formed. This was one of them. The homeowner knew exactly what she wanted: a basement kitchen and entertaining space built around her love of Coca-Cola. The idea just needed someone who could take it seriously and build it to match.

That’s exactly what we did.

Where It Started

The space we were working with was a back corner of a smaller basement — not a finished room, not a bar, just untapped square footage. The vision was to transform it into a full kitchen and entertaining area that the family could actually use, a space designed for gathering, hosting, and having fun in.

The Coca-Cola theme was the client’s idea from day one, but it evolved as the project came together. Originally, she wanted to incorporate the theme into the soffit above the cabinets. But once we installed the brick backsplash, the designer recognized an opportunity. Painting the Coca-Cola design directly on the brick — bold, graphic, and completely at home on that surface — was the move that made the whole thing click.

“She originally wanted to do it in the soffit above the cabinets, but with the brick backsplash it made sense to paint it right on the brick. That’s the moment the room found its identity.”

A Full Kitchen, Not a Novelty

This isn’t a basement wet bar with a Coke sign hung on the wall. It’s a fully functional kitchen with all the appliances — built and finished to the same standard as everything else we do. The appliances deserve a mention: they look vintage, like something you’d find in an old-school diner, but they’re completely new. That tension between retro character and modern function is exactly what makes the space work.

The design work was a true collaboration. Our team handled the construction, tile, and build-out. Mountainland Design sourced the specialty appliances. The designer brought in an artist to execute the Coca-Cola painting on the brick. Everyone had a role, and the result reflects all of it.

What Nobody Sees

The most significant work in this project wasn’t the tile or the paint — it was everything hidden behind the finished surfaces. This was part of a much larger whole-home renovation, and the structural work required to support a second floor above involved installing major beams throughout the home. We made a deliberate effort to conceal them wherever possible.

The one beam that couldn’t be fully hidden on the main floor was wrapped to look like a beautiful wood architectural feature. What could have been an eyesore became a design element. That’s the kind of problem-solving we do on every project.

From start to finish, this entire home renovation took two years. The basement kitchen was one piece of a transformation that included the playroom, the master suite, the living room, and more. But this room — themed, personal, and built for celebration — might be the most memorable stop on the tour.

The Reaction

The homeowners love it. We walked through it recently with a prospective client, and the family was more than happy to show it off. That says everything. A space that makes people proud to share it is a space that was built right.

If you’ve got a basement corner you don’t know what to do with, and a vision — however specific, however personal — we’d love to talk.
